The man who was destined to save the world has killed himself. What does that mean for us?

Victory was already working in the castel acting as the voice of the people when he was announced as a candidate for King's advisor. His policies were always inline to lift the upper class, however, often he found ways to tie in the lower class district. Many people saw him as a saving grace.

“He was already doing more for this country than can ever truly be known. In his stead many people must rise from the ashes and carry his flame.”

Marlow and his family were projected on the wall all through the following week. The only questions asked to thirteen-year-old Marlow were related to that which most scared him. He'd witnessed his Victory's final few moments, heard his last words, and was thus saddled with the burden of spreading this news. I never once saw him cry, he seemed fully comfortable in repeating himself, though his tear stained cheeks told a different story.

More Bad News for Marlow

With the ending of an era and many dreams crushed, it was inevitable that the nation would seek to blame something. Many sought to change regulations surrounding work- though one could not blame the King for this matter. Instead eyes were turned to Marlow. Many wondered if his grief stricken appearance was honest. On that dark bridge, some wondered, could it not be that he was pushed?

A trial was held for Marlow. Many say it was merely a stunt devised to calm the hysterical public. The way Marlow moved past the crowd to take the stand made it seem as if there was a thickness in the air. Below is one of his statements that is quoted when addressing why the case was dropped.

"I killed Victor. Blame me. Let the wrath of the world befall me so that Victor's glory may live on and may be uninjered by the idea that he committed suicide. I killed Victor as I didn't move to stop him."

Picture it: A ball so big the whole town is invited. It's hosted in a skyscraper whoes light shines brighter than the moon. All the wealth in the world is there, but this will be the last night any royalty leaves castle grounds.

Princess Lalueta watches the gallivanting as she waits for someone. With all the money glinting on thick fingers, she believes the only thing to worry about is holding on to her earrings and watch. But the woman she was meeting was not looking to give cordial advice on her reading list.

The Kidnapping of a God

“I hadn't considered anything might be amiss until well after we'd left Yorkytempla. Even as they led me from the usual streets I wasn't alarmed. It wasn't until - well really it wasn't until I was already saved that I knew I was in trouble.”

What the three were hoping to accomplish can hardly be left to the imagination. Princess Lalueta was already laid bare in the trunk of the car with her hair clipped and her nose broken. It would only be a matter of time before the trio fled the city and begun to plot their next move.

Marlow's Happenstance

Marlow had watched too small bubbiles get slipped into the drinks brought to the fair maiden. He risked himself to trail her and her kidnappers for 13HL before watching the Queen-to-be collapse. There's no way of knowing what went through his mind as he watched her being beat and drug across the cities carpet. He called the authorities but never held his phone to his ear. He whispered the street names as they passed and then, when the car was reached, rolled his Tela-ring to the footsteps of the attackers.

The Moment of Action

There wasn't any time to think. It was clear what needed to be done.”

Marlow's body was found bloodied alongside Princess Lalueta's. In his grasp was a broken bottle painted with blood. After his ring had been discovered and destroyed he had taken to the offencive. Though the details are blurry Marlow was able to delay the group in their departure until authorities were on the horizon. The trio fled- presumably back to the party building as soon as they were aware of police presence. Marlow was left fading in and out of consciousness until well after receiving his QRC health pack.

At fault?

Many seek to blame Marlow for not alerting the authorities sooner, others believe that having the capability to roll the ring to such a precise place is impossible. They imply that trio must at least have been aware of Marlow if not interfacing with him.

However at the end of the day, Marlow was able to lead rescuers to place of sin. He was highly celebrated by the King and his community. It is often now rumored that the King owes him either a life spared or a hand in marriage.
